Think You Could Never Look Feminine?
Lots of guys want to dress and / or "transform" into female - but the imagery staring back from their mirror appears too masculine to even attempt that process.
See that guy with the mustard sweatshirt above? He - was once me - and I could transform and fully pass as female even when I looked that masculine.
The internet changed everything - for all transgenders. If you can't learn enough on-line to at least look fairly feminine? I'm going to have to ask you to turn in your panties. *Laugh*
There's just too much good information and too many nice, helpful people for you not to at least achieve your basic female goal.
One problem? There's literally too much information. Thus, I tried to organize what I consider to be the very best sites and ideas on particular issues - with dressing for first timers and early stagers in mind.

Getting Past the Mental Barriers to Crossdress
One of the BIGGEST challenges new girls face is getting slightly depressed when they first begin their feminine journey.
Why?
Many feel they got to the party too late. They believe they're too old to start seriously pursuing crossdressing. Others look at photos of some knock-out-tranny and silently mutter - "I could never look anything like her."
Guess what?
You’re wrong!
Almost every guy on the planet can appear lovely as a woman with appropriate style & skills.
When I first began dressing? My appearance would have frightened small children and most adults. Fortunately, I didn't put anybody through that misery...although my poor dog got plenty nervous with the results. *Laugh*
I regret having thrown away my earliest photo's, but trust me - I looked hideous! The pretty woman inside - just couldn't seem to find her way into the image staring back from my mirror.
The photo I just shared above? It wasn't near my worst. Rather, it was taken as a celebration for having lost 15 pounds. Can you imagine what I looked liked with another couple of chins? *Smile*
At only 5'9, I tipped the scales at well over 200 pounds. My once athletic thighs turned flabby from years of shuffling papers. When it came to applying make-up? I didn't even know what foundation & blush were - let alone how to use them.
I only knew one thing: I had a burning desire to express a female side of my persona.
Renee's adventure began slowly with the acquisition of select silky coverings from Victoria's Secret and other appealing lingerie . Before long, a wig was added to her arsenal. As time passed, additional accessories kept finding their way into her secret stash.
My new persona would don these dainty items every month or so relishing their softness. I'd usually become sexually excited by this process. However, the further I went? The more I just felt contentment & joy.
I shall always recall the first time I shaved that forest from her chest and midriff. What a mess! *Laugh* I had to use a powerful drain cleaner to unclog the pipes.
Guess what else happened? The drain cleaning mixture ate right through the PVC pipes...resulting in an expensive visit by a plumber. To add insult to injury? My chest broke out in a rash and itched for days.
What a blonde moment that was.

Like everything else in the world, knowing where you want to go from the onset? It'll get you there twice as fast and for a lot less cash.
Going very far with your feminine persona takes time and lots more money than most new gals understand. Thus, I'd suggest you do a bit of homework first. You know what? It's not the items you acquire and love that you'll consider expensive. It's all that crap we you buy and never wear...that really burns you.
Take your time. Write down your plans. Search and read tips on the web. Get a feel for the feminine impression you desire to recreate. You'll be glad you first did this research before "jumping" into wasteful purchases.
Crossdressing for Personal Pleasure
Most newcomers express a feminine side of their personality by donning lingerie. It represents such a distinct representation of femininity. Don't you agree? I must admit I never truly felt femme - till the silk would hit my skin. Of course, like most new trans-women - I sometimes fantasized about someday getting breast augmentation or at the very least - seeing breast growth from female hormones.
Many of you've probably been doing this in some manner for many years: starting by borrowing hose and panties from "dear old mom", testing silky items of an unsuspecting spouse or girlfriend. That's how I started. My poor mother and sister had no idea where all those pantyhose went.
If some private feminine sensation is your goal? I'd suggest purchasing the following basic inventory to enhance your pleasure. With these items in hand, browse the next sections about shopping and feminizing. Acquire the basic make-up and clothing size information you'll need...and go have some fun, sweetheart.
One additional point to consider? Some of you just getting started tend to bypass the application of any make up or painting of your nails and toes. Trust me: this is a capital mistake. Running your hands over your stocking covered thighs is a killer experience. However, doing it with bright red fingertips? Trust me...it'll add a lot of pleasure. You don't have to be an expert - just enjoy the basics. It all comes off so quick and easy. Try it...you'll like it.

Here's an early picture of me when I knew little about make up, and in a "get up" like I've just described:
*Garter Belt: Garter belts come in all shapes and sizes. If you've got some extra weight in your tummy, I'd suggest getting a larger one that has "lace up" adjustments to enhance your figure. Frederick's of Hollywood carries a nice one for about $35.00.
**Bra: Measure your chest with a cloth tape around your nipples - this is your bra size. If it measures to an odd number, move "up" to the nearest even number. Then, I'd suggest you drop it down a size to help enhance the look of your cleavage. Your cup size (A,B,C, etc.) will be negligible to start with but hey...that's why God created socks

There's always Craigslist for local connections - but sites like URNOTALONE - offer an easy opportunity to expand your image and make friends nationally.

This desire is far more common than most realize - from the White House to Wall Street - it’s happening every day all around you. The only ugly aspect of transgender expression is that we live in a world where people fear persecution for simply “being themselves”.
